A Technician is responsible for manufacturing and repair of quality products efficiently, accurately, safely and on time. A Technician uses specialised manufacturing equipment and instrumentation to manufacture the company’s products in accordance to company policy and safety regulations.
Technician jobs require duties such as:
- trouble shooting and repairing complex mechanical and electrical assemblies
- provides advice and feedback on corrective actions
- performing in-process and final testing on product
- performs routine equipment maintenance and limited troubleshooting activities as required
- provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical workers
- work with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates
- continually improve the setup, calibration and test procedures used on the new and service equipment orders
- provide training when necessary to new build and service assemblers
- tracks and orders supplies
- provides general support to the manufacturing team
- communicate with engineering on product performance and functionality issues
- helping in the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications and other device history documents
- assisting with monitoring productivity by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates
- assisting the Technical support team with customers needs for technical support
- assisting with the installation, debugging and validation of process equipment
- maintaining a clean and safe work area
- following all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor
