A Confectioner produces all different kinds of confectionery by mixing sweeteners and other ingredients, shaping, baking and decorating.

Confectioner jobs involve:

  • ordering ingredients from wholesalers
  • preparing ingredients according to recipes
  • checking batch consistency, using a stainless steel spatula or measuring equipment like refractometer, hydrometer and thermometers
  • shaping mixture before baking
  • loading and unloading mixture into and from ovens
